johnpop 3
hi all, just wanting some help about my spaniel he is just over 1 year old,we got him at 7weeks old and from day one he was very jumpy and scared of loud noises or alot of people, when hes out off the lead and people go past he gives chase, barking and jumping up. any advice on how to stop this would be great. dont want it getting out of control and worried incase he starts biting. any ideas? thanks
Cold Ethyl 63
common problem with some spaniels cos theyre high strung exs sister had one like this and went on holiday for 3 weeks and it changed cos it was well exercised and not allowed to do the naughty bits.I would start from scratch build up to loud noises
johnpop 3
when you say start from scratch do you mean start him back on the lead going past the odd person till he gains more confidents? his recall and everything else is great and if i throw sticks as people pass he totaly ignores them but if he isnt occupied he chases which like ya said maybe the exercise and boredem thing. looks like longer walks and harder exercise, hope my terrier can keep up!! thanks
