Recommended Posts

Anyone useing one or can give me the run down on them? been doing a bit of homework on some rifles lately and this one seems to have so decent reviews and knocks out a few more shots per charge that the AA410 I was originaly interested in, also have a real soft spot for the Ranger ;) ......

they are spot on jasp

heavier than an s410 , depends how long your going to be out in the field for, for it to become a problem.

nice looking gun, excellent build quality, but the trigger will need adjusting ( if it hasn't been done already) i have a link somwhere for how to do this will stick it up later.

cheers mate

I’ve shot one a few times and they are almost perfect they are extremely smooth, silent with a daystate moderator, well balanced , and there trigger is the best I’ve shot on any gun. The finish is flawless and they look very sexy. If I hade the money I would by one no questions asked. :gunsmilie: atb bedrock

sounds good to me Bedrock  spent a bit more time reading up on them on the Daystate website but I would expect them not to be critical of the gun, its good to get the low down from a Neutral shooter......

cheers

I've got one in .20

My make has a top spec theoben in .20

I choose the Dayaste MK4 over the Theoben. I've never been happier with an air rifle. This gun is so well balanced and the reloading action is uber smooth and quiet. I used to shoot a theoben gas ram and thought thhat was awesome but it is nothing on my daystate. The gun is so well finished, it oozes quality. Granted they cost more but you get what you pay for. These guns are really pointable, the mechanism is SO fast. I shoot more now free standing than I used to.

.20 calibre means I get a flatter trajectory than a 22 but more stopping power than .177 I've shot both the main calibres and will never go back to them, .20 is just perfect for me and there are some excellent pellets now for it. If you want a .20 daystate you need to order it in advance.

The other great thing with Daystate is the back up, they really care about each gun they make and expect it to perform and continue to perform long after sale.

If you do get one you will not be disappointed.

Much apreciated sorley

I was besotted for a while with the air ranger but a bit pricey for my likeing. I then read up on the MK4 and it left me drooling, still pretty pricey for me I think at the moment but if a secondhand lefty came up or I decide to add a few more funds then the MK4 will be the one that rocks my boat ......

I read up a bit on the model with the new fandango digi thing on the side, Its all way beyond me plus I would be a bit worried with all these gadgets that more can go wrong, either way mate it won't be long hopefully before one comes up for a decent price or I have to break the missus bank balance :D....

Yeah the digi stuff on the side is an expensive addition and unless you are into HFT then it is a bit of overkill.

Join the owners club and keep eyes and ears peeled.

I was deterred by the price but after testing various other makes I couldn't find anything to touch the MK4, I just put the purchase on hold until I'd saved enough - a painful wait but soooo worth it.

All the best with whatever you decide.
