Im after a terrier for ratting in a few months, i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with any? Someone recommended a plummer or a patterdale, what do you think chaps?

True. I knew of an Aberdeenshire terrier that moved down this way from the city, had never seen a rat as such, well not to chase anyway. This family moved to a little smallholding, and within days it was killing rats left right & centre! :blink:

 

Wouldn't be my first choice for a ratting dog BTW! :laugh:

Any working type of terrier will become a good ratter mate :thumbs: atb bedrock

 

ive got rid of some earth terriers to ratting homes that have not had the minerals to work below ground but have turned out to make a handy ratting terrier.
