adamthomas64 1
alright lads and lasses i know you must probably get this all the time but im looking for some permission to do some rabbiting on, what in your opinions would be the best way to go about it i have some permission for some pigeon shooting but the farmer says a big no to anything else, i know im lucky just to have that, but my passion is air rifles, the bloke who was giving me clay pigeon lessons says its near impossiable to gain permission without knowing the farmer first, is this true, any advice would be very muc appreciated. thanks Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
first of all you need the paper work so have a look at this link http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=40744 and secondly you will need insurance and you need to knock on some doors,it is not gonna happen straight away? but also try these place's industrial estate business park hotels golf course horse paddocks cemeteries crematorium manor house's football fields rugby clubs local tip and of the odd farm just get all the addresses and send loads of letters asking for permission and don't forget to put a copy of your insurance and a stamped address envelope as well i hope this helps happy hunting Davy Quote Link to post
BellySlater 15
the only advise I can give is keep trying, I have been looking for land for months and still no joy. If you can speak to the land owner face to face it may help in the long run ? Quote Link to post

I approached a farmer to gain my main permission I didnt know him at all and he wasnt keen or anything I just asked him and explained how I would be doing him a favoiur. You have to get out there and knock on doors being polite!! You will get alot of no's and not interested but all you need is that one yes and go from there!! One permission can lead more!! Good luck mate and dont give up!! Quote Link to post
