as far as age is concerned, i dont think that you can tell when they are fully grown as its different for every ferret. in the 1st year of its life it will grow but i would say at about 2 - 3 years they are fully grown

A ferret is fully grown at 6 months and will be able to reproduce after that time but due to the fact that a ferrets season is enduced by the hours of daylight it is unlikely to come in season until it is a year old +. With regards to getting them ready carry on doing what you are doing but dont feed them too many day old chicks because they dont contain enough vitamins and depending on where they come from can contain chemicals. You will be able to work them this season but dont expect them to be fantastic workers straight away, that comes with experience..... Hope this helps.

They will be able to do a bit this year ,but remeber there youngsters and treat them as such. For the first season i always put a experienced jill in to check the burrow after them i dont consider them experienced wo9rkers till there second season and then see if they make the grade and join the team

i dont think that 16 weeks is true, but that is my opinion, i have one kit here and it is 12 weeks old on sunday and that is nowhere near fully grown and i dont think that is will be fully grown in 4 weeks

Calvin,

no wonder people take the piss mate, think before you write, I'm not winding you up, but you do jump in feet first mate, Val Porter know's the true facts, but you want to contradict even that! You're not much more than a growing kit yourself, let someone like Val tell you, and for fucks sake, listen instead of disputing every single piece of advice you're given! :good:
