daystate rangemasters .22

has anyone used these pellets???

I bought a tin of .22 rangemasters yesterday and after destroying the stake i put my targets on i shot a bunny clean through the head at 50-55 yards (yes i know it's a distance but i have had to do a lot of long shot practice for this permission due to lack of good cover in parts) said bunny flew further than i've ever seen a bunny fly. high up in the air and back with three flips to boot :o the lad with me said it looked like it had been shot with a rimmie from where he was stood. The energy retention at 55 yards say must be quite phenominal for a legal limit rifle would love to know if anyone has the figures for these pellets.

hi mushroom.

know they are a heavy pellet so watch your flb in case its gone over the legal limit, but well done on the 55 yarder.

regards steve

cheers i'll get it on the chrono asap to check. thought the heavier the pellet would reduce the ftlb  i've been out tonight and bagged two rabs 30's and 35's away the smaller bunny just flew when the pellet smacked it in't head. the bigger rab was decimated on the exit wound at 29-30 yrds which tells me that the pellets are transfering alot of energy. accupells kill alright but they don't do that kind of damage at these ranges.:D

will bet ya its over !!! i use 16 gr logan penetrators in my aa s400 and it was well over the 12flb.

the gun is well bedded in like but still on factory settings last time i chronoed it was showing 11.6ish i'll find out for sure soon as, i'll be pissed if it is, as it means a trip to the gunsmiths to get it reduced :o :o
