Rabbithunter 456
Another Rant. (because im sick of the way people treat their animals and give hunting a bad name.... I remember a while ago (no names mentioned) someone's ferret had an abscess, im sure it was an abscess. He left it and left it and left it, leaving the ferret in discomfort to say the least. NOW THEN, if it was a dog with such a condition, would he have left it until it got to a worse stage? My guess is NO. So do people see a ferret as a stinky little animal that can be replaced for a couple of quid, usually for free. And they oppose the dog, that might cost £100 to replace. is it a matter of money? Personally i dont put a price on my animals, you could offer me £100 for my best little working jill and i'll tell you to stick it up your arse. You could have offered me £1000 for my recently departed lurcher, even though he wasnt 100% on retrieve, he did my head in at time and he whined a lot. I would tell you to stick that £1000 as well. Can anybody offer me an explanation to as what goes on in these peoples' minds? Quote Link to post

Guest MOLLY
I agree with what you say 100% Can you also see why i get just as angry about people who will give no respect to any prey they see as dirty vermin? They will happily say a fox or deer should be dispatched asap, but will happily allow a rat to be mentally & physically tortured....whats the difference? I think they will be the same kind of people. MOLL. Quote Link to post

MOLL. Molly, i disagree with the bit i have highlighted. I must say in my opinion, these people have no respect for any prey, be it a deer or the humble rat. I hate rats, but as a living thing they are respected. If i were to capture one alive, it would be dispatched humanely, and if i couldnt do this, it would be released. ( i dont do any form of live trapping, but a fenn could mis-fire. People, start looking after your animals or give them to a GOOD home. Respect your quarry! Quote Link to post

Guest Bigbob
If your talking about the value of ferrets how can you put a price on something youv'e bred for years to get a top class working machine that will work all day tirelessly . Quote Link to post

Guest Cal
Hats off to you Wicked Weasel, I look after my animals needs but I don't think I'd spend 300 quid on a ferret. Quote Link to post
