been on a dig today, and what a fu##er of a dig there where tubes all over the place and it was a big place to.

 

do u give up at atime like this, fu#k no way, as long as the dog his doing his job ill do mine or we will :11: :11:

this is me at 7ft here

 

 

and this boy has got a right arm like a JCB and im not fu#king jokeing

 

 

and this boy is from island,he will get the hang of it one of the days

just jokeing mate u know we love u :11: :11:

 

at the end of the day we got there

yeah that makes sense to me too! if thats a pic of you at seven feet then you must be fourteen feet tall seeing as that you are bent over at the waist and back paralel to the top o the hole but then again you might be on a ledge that drops another five feet or so.... but whatever was the hunt a success? happy hunting

your right i am on a ledge, i don't how some of u lad's dig when u are out working your dogs, but an experianced terrier man will always take the hole down in stages if he is over 4ft this helps u in lots of ways,

like giving u lot's of room to work the spade,and when u have got lads as big as the irish fella in the hole u need all the room u can get :11: :11:

Im not nit picking and i dont know how tall you are but from experience when im bent over in a hole like that it is usually only about 3ft deep..

Load's of argument's start on these sight's over the true depth and the photographic depth.. :whistle: .so at the end of the dig mate have you got a pic of the finished hole just to stop this curiosity.. .

Why were you digging this time of year was it a call out? surely that hole should of been wider too for that depth especally it being sand? weldone anyway.

your right terrier lads do stick to their seasons but the problem i have is that i have got that much ground to cover, i am unable to get round it all in the winter, you know and i know that if i were to stop going that i would lose my ground hand over fist, to someone who would be willing to do it! so let me know lads what would you do in this situation.

 

It was a very good day in a beautiful part of the Principality with VERY good company .....

Well if you have a farmer ranting down the phone fair enough

I personaly still would rather not dig,not this tiume of year anyway.

 

Ive seen a terrier dug to dead through bad conditions hot dry earths and Ive seen 1 or 2 close to death Ill wait till it cools down and leave the summer to the real terriermen

This time of year as much as I hate to say it a rifle or shotgun probably the right tool.

for a 7ft deep hole you would at least need to be 4ft to 5ft wide no way could you dig 7ft down with a hole thats only 3ft wide unless its only a few feet deep ,,i say it looks no deeper than 4 1/2 ft
