Guest air gunner
hia good gun!!! i also use one. packing 11ft lbs super accurate takes pigeons with ease, and the occasional rabbits but i dont have too much luck with them but that may be to do with my judgement of ranges 20yrds may end up being 35. to make my gun a little sweeter and more personalised i have made a thumbhole stock and a custom trigger. i have never tried a bipod but however i did experiment with leaning the gun on a solid rest this in some ways replicates a bipod and the groupings were terrible so freehand in my opinion is far more suited, in my opinion unless you are a pest controller who is doing a job. it is far more skilled to have no bipod and shoot free hand. if anyone knows how to easily tame the sound i would also be gratefull the local gun shop said a screw cut and a certain silencer that escapes my mind is the best mod for a springer. smokin 0
silencers do little really on springers as most of the noise is mechanical rather than the pop of the air as in a pcp or co2 rifle - i have a supersport too in .22 thats been shortened (has a silencer on but its more of a cocking aid and for aesthetics) with an ambi walnut stock -yes its loud - probably more so now its shorter as i suspect the spring will have been packed up to compensate for the barrel loss as with most rifles - polishing / tuning the internals is the way to go - maybe a change of material in some places and certainly close attention tothe right kind of lubricants and what goes on the spring. I do like the supersport but i wish they wouldnt use a plastic trigger blade - spoils it really - anyone fancy making a brass one? Quote Link to post
