stevesel 18
I have fed my lurcher and terriers on raw meat and bones before but not rabbits,do i have to gut them/skin them or not. can they eat whole carcasses, bones and all? and if so will it give my scrounging lurcher any ideas about eating them in the field when lamping? Any advice would be appreciated Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
Mine all eat them whole, guts an all but not untill they have been frozen for 2wks to kill any parasetic infestation. They did run away with bunnies when younger to eat them out on walks, but now when lamping/working i have no probs....they seem to know when its working and when its just a walk out? MOLL. bullsmilk 2
Personally I think its lazyness feeding dogs un gutted rabbits I cant see the benifits of it there may be no benafits but its no harm to the dog theres no drawbacks ether....rabbits dont come gutted in the wild lol mik Quote Link to post
Guest MOLLY
Its not laziness Gutting is hardly hard work! Im of the same opinion as Bullsmilk. Perhaps there is something in the guts which benefits the dogs..like veg matter. Why do we blend veg to add to their raw meat when feeding barf? In anycase...the dogs love the guts MOLL.
