turn it dow to 11.4 or 11.5 matey... the ronfg pellet will take it over the limit, think most police tests involve one light, one mid weight, and one heavey pellet...

the above zero distances are about right...

anything from 10.5 ish is ok for the full 55 yard shooting if you can hit it, once your power starts going above that, beleive it or not, it's not as smooth a shot (in pcp's) the full 12 fp offers tiddly squot diference unless your hot enough to be hitting 24mm or smaller targets out to its full 80 odd yard range.. its really just a matter of a tragectry pattern on your ret, between about 10.5 to 11.5 or 11.6 fp's... the rest is power hungry in a day dream or FAC stuff.. neather have a use if your serious about legal limit hunting.

e.g. i can hit 1/2 bricks off my stool to 82 yards, but thats only with one brand of pellets, the next brand is about 65 yards max... but in all reality 60 yards is getting thin on power for a kill shot, IF you can hit the right spot.. so.. 10.5 at 55 is plenty if your hot on... gong up to 12fps, the diference is a couple yards if that..as said just now, the more the power the more the kick, the point of a pcp at legal limits is smoothness.. so 11.2...11.4 its plenty..11.9 is oooooanother 2 or 3 feet for ultimate maximum distance at a loss of smoothnes.

shoot to the distance you can hit to start with, then work out how far the power loss will allow at least a clean kill. 72 yards with everything perfect, gun tune..ace barel, brill pellets and optimum weather and personal skill levals is a vague kill.. well to far....(the power is lost over distance, hense the myth of getting the 11.99 fp's...yu cant stay legal because of the pellet varience, even if you weigh everything, spend a grand on a gun, and another 3-400 on a tune, then weigh every pellet... the fire arms guys get a standard tin and test.. 12.01 is over..owch!).

after a few years the poin isnt how far you can hit.. its how far you can get a kill rate.. after that its FAC levels.
