HW45 (Spring) or smith and wesson 586 (Co2)

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Im looking to buy my first pistol and am undecided on what to get... either a HW45 or a Co2 586.. the 586 with 50+ co2 canisters will prob cost about the same as the HW45 but have to reload the 45 each shot...

I want to get to range shooting with a little back yard and up the mountain in between..

I love the power of the hw45 (from youtube vids i have seen) and the ease of use of the 586. If it was the 586 It would be the 6" barrel.

About 17 years ago I did own a G10 lol but I know thing have come on alot from there... I was originaly thinking of a pcp pistol but too much money for what i would be using it for and then looking at co2 but thinking paying for canisters all the time and changing would become a chore...

Any advice from the knowlegable people here would be great :-)

Thanks from a total noob :-)

Steve

hw 45 all the way for me.ive got one and love it.

Shaun's right. The HW will last you a lifetime.

I use CO2 and it does have it's uses but if you want a gun that'll do you right time and again, the 45's the one to go for.

It's a right pain having to change the CO2 every few shots and the cost soon mounts up.

Cheers and welcome to the site!
