RAPID7LIAM 7
When shooting from a hide, do you retrieve after each rabbit shot or leave them lying out there for a bit. Do rabbits still come out to feed with a fallen comrade lying dead beside them or does it spook them abit. whenever i've been out shooting it has normally been walking about looking for rabbits but i've just found a nice little corner of a field on my permission which is over-run which the little feckers and plan on just staying in one spot for a few hours, do i leave or retrieve, cheers , Liam.. Guest Scuba1
In high grass I leave them but when there is nothing there and the wabbit is open to see I tend to get them after a few minutes. ATB Michael Quote Link to post

RAPID7LIAM 7
Sounds good, i shot one this evening and there was another 4 or 5 around it which all scattered into the bushes, so i thought while they are off the field i may as well pick up any shot rabbits, cheers scuba, kingkeeper.. jackinbox99 41
I normally pick the rabbit up asap, else even after somersaulting from a headshot, they very often come too and leg it, or crawl off into the bushes to die. So, i like to get to it before it has chance to do that and I can finish it off. Before the rabbits on one of my permissions got too nervous, they didnt used to run off after a shot, so you could get 3 or 4 if you were quick enough. Now though, one click of the trigger and they scarper. Quote Link to post
redeye jedi 39
on short crop or grass i always pick up once shot but i leave it a couple of mins just in case an unweary one decides to come out to play. i also put a little bit of soil over the blood patch. Quote Link to post
