Can you keep snaring the same runs?

Recommended Posts

I set a few snares last monday morning and the count up until this evening was 33, But I noticed after the middle of the week the kills where slowing down a lot, but there is still a huge amount of rabbits on the ground, is it better to move them onto other runs frequently?

there would be nothing worng with moving them around a bit you can always put them back down again once the next pile of runs start to dry up sounds like ur thinning them out fast

I might leave them where they are....The last thing I want to do is thin them too much, I want to leave some sport for september, I wouldnt be at it only the farmer has been on my back!

I always leave my wires down for 3 nights in a particularly heavy rabbit infestation.........then rest the ground for a week or so before setting again. If you leave them down too long you run the risk the rabbits becoming snare shy and also there is more chance of Mr Fox finding a new feeding source.
