Wildcat Cub or SAK for .17hmr?

Hi Guys

My local RFD is offering me either a Wildcat Cub or

an S.A.K. for a .17hmr i am buying from them, as part

of a package. Have read a few articles about the S.A.K.

but nothing about the Cub!

 

Any advice or tips would be helpful.

Hi mate,

Don't really know if it's the same thing but i went with the Wildcat whisper, purely because the Wildcat fits over the barrel reducing the overall length compared to the S.A.K which screws on the end.

Price is a hell of allot different though, if money is a factor I'd go with the S.A.K can't really hear any significant difference between either.

I had both on my .22lr, i would say the wildcat cub is better for the .22 and the sak for the 17 hmr, but thats my opinion others could be different.

Have not used the wildcat but i cant fault the sak. Cuts down on the crack quite a bit

Stick almost anything you like on a .22lr but, .17HMR is a pain in the arse moderator wise.....the only thing any good is £300 worth of centrefire mod...that being the case you might just as well hang on to your money and simply buy an innexpensive SAK.
