Guest JohnGalway
I was out lamping one night earlier this year and I spied a pair of eyes well above me on my own land. I'd lost 2 lambs already. I was out of range to take a shot (shotgun) so decided to put the sneak on her. Crossed over some very soggy ground without so much as a squelch! Unfortunately she dissappeared behind a little hill near a stone boundary wall topped by a fence. There was another fence between myself and the fox, so she was heading into a corner. When I got over the fence she had vanished, she couldn't have gone the way she came in so I had a quick look around and discovered they're using a drain which runs under the stone wall. Not much point in losing more sleep so I snared it the next day and to date I've caught two vixens. I check my snares twice daily and both foxes were alive and unhurt when I found them, although rather PO'd with their situation. Popped home for the gun and BB's and that as they say was that! Guest JohnGalway
Another 2 lamb killers gone john My thoughts exactly Stevie There are plenty of hares etc around the area for them to feed on but it seems they prefer the easier targets  John Quote Link to post
