As the above says should it be banned from hunting as it is far to easy to hunt with them or should people stick to the good old lamp and battery at least it gives some animals a bit more of a chance when lamping them as sometimes the lamp can make them lamp shy .
What is your opinion on it .?or is it cheating

Not on about strength men will always be stronger than women that's a fact but my shithead of a husband says that women cannot hunt or kill this is where I disagree not all men are natural hunters he seems to think we can only wash and clean whereas I could do what he does (scratch my arse )

Just having an argument with my husband ,watching I'm a celebrity and he seems to think that a woman cannot match a man at hunting and therefore would die trying I disagree I could catch hunt and kill just as good as any man in order to survive

You sound like a kid in a playground ?
Well, it looks like we're both speaking from experience then. BUT, I reckon I've a few more years filming experience than you and I don't find lamping films difficult at all. That's like saying taking a photo is easy..
We can all point a camera..
Getting a good shot is something else..
Making a quality product is not so easy..
That's from experience..
But hey, that's just me......
So, good luck to ya.....
p.s, would love to see a few of your lamping pics...... :whistling:

I have tried filming rabbits using my camcorder
and a tracer 150 lamp without success, so i have a
couple of question to ask those who know what they are doing
and have filmed rabbits successfully.
1, What is a good Vid Cam to use, Make and model
2, would you suggest a vid cam with a view finder.
3, I am thinking of getting a Blitz for the purpose of filming only
but using the 150 for spotting..
I mount my jvc handcam on top of my lamp and just leave it on auto focus and it uses the hd card which works really well as the camera is nice and light which produces good filming
Please could someone help that knows.
Regards SWG DAVE.........

Classic
My brother and I must have been about 12 and 13 and reading the shooting news decided we had to make our own lamping kit.
The lamp was an old rectangular inspection light with a cone made from cardboard and covered in black masking tape , this was to narrow the beam !! As we read this was vital.
We then read about red filters so set to work with the red felt tip pens.
But the best was it was powered by old leaky motorbike battery carried in army haversack. Aye , it splashed everywhere , eventually rotted the haversack , countless shirt tails and tops of jeans.
But we had great fun.[/quot
Reading this topic takes me back I remember my first lamps I had was a lr9and a lr10 with a doorbell quite shoddy wiring and a motorbike battery .with a plastic oil tub for the battery with old newspaper in to secure the battery enough then after a good few times out would pull the paper out and it would fall to pieces .seen a friend of mine who built a wooden casing round the battery but the acid used to soak into the wood and would make a mess of your clothes still have an lr10 today good topic
