    No , it's full of nutters and kids throwing things in the water. Plus I've heard all the fish are stunted because of a parasite infection. Used to fish at the quarry at the brickworks before they filled it in. I'm looking for places that are quiet, small private ponds or clubs , away from the big commercials as they get a bit boring after a while. Seems like most are shut to Joe Public these days like the ponds in Ackhurst lane in Gathurst ,and the ponds along Pimbo lane in Upholland.

    plenty of coarse fish some carp its also a well known area for attracting doggers plenty of them around that area. That doesn't surprise me down that neck of the woods

    Hi Guys I am 51 years old and from Uphooland in West Lancashire, I used to do a lot of fishing but have been out of it for about 10 years and have just started up again recently,I joined the forum to discuss fishing get advice on venues methods etc
