  1. Hello all. It's been a while since I've logged on. Thanks to all who helped me out with my previous enquiries. I have found something which may be useful to Crosman 2250 users. I decided on one of these to deal with the problem pigeons in the barn without using my springer. I needed something with less power but accurate and maneouvrable in confined spaces. However I was a little put off when reading about the effect of temperature on the co2 propellant. If you take off the small plastic forestock, re-install the screws and barrel band with appropriate washers and then carry the gun around by
  2. Took the top hat spacer out. Now hovering around 11 fp. That's with 25 or so RWS Superdomes through it which is what I use out on the fields. Seems to have cured the problem. Many thanks Bigmac and Rez for your advice and input. Off to put it to use now as the sun's out. Hope to be of assistance to you sometime. Cheers. Driver C.
  3. It's coming apart now Bigmac. Back soon, watch this space! Thanks.
  4. Putting some washers IN will reduce the power Rez? I thought that would increase the spring tension. Now I'm confused. Help! Thanks Rez.
  5. Thanks The One. I hope to contribute to the site usefully. Cheers. Driver C.
  6. Thanks Rez. Mine's over without any washers or spacers hence the original post. Appreciate your reply. Driver C.
  7. Hi Bigmac. I fitted it yesterday. It's showing 13-14 fp consistently on a Combro. The old Weihrach set-up which was original was putting out 9 fp. Cheers, Driver C.
  8. Having just joined the site I need to post a few words before being fully accepted into discussions. A good idea I feel which sorts out the good from the bad. I originally began air rifle shooting in 1974 with an ASI Sniper .22 keeping down rats on the local farms and a large bakery. The bakery company used to pay for my pellets too! This was swapped a year later for a Gamo 68 aka ASI Paratrooper which accounted for hundreds of rats over about 2 years. This was in .22 and a non-repeater model. Life moved on. Now an odd thing happened. Whilst speaking to my brother I mentioned I had got back in
  9. Thanks Bigmac 97kt. Is it an idea to remove the top-hat spacer as the original Weihrauch set-up didn't have one fitted anyway? Driver C.
  10. I have decided to join having browsed this forum for the technical information on a few occasions as a guest and found it very helpful. I have shooting rights to a large farm permission in Somerset courtesy of a work colleague. It is overpopulated with rabbits and has a feral pigeon problem around the barns and cow sheds. I use an old Weihrauch HW77k with an Original Model 10 telescopic sight which came with the rifle. I have only ever shot with spring powered air rifles. I started at age 14 in 1974 with an ASI Sniper .22 with the warning from dad that if ever it was abused I'd be wearing it!
  11. Hello to all on here. I have recently got back into air rifles after a work colleague's property became overrun with rabbits and he asked if anyone was interested in keeping the numbers down. As a result I purchased an old but tidy HW77k locally. The spring was a bit tired so I purchased a V-Mach 12 fp kit. I have installed it with none of the metal packing washers or the (delrin?) spring preloader. It is showing over the 12 fp on a chrony test. If I leave it cocked for a few days will it weaken the spring enough to bring it under or do I need to cut off spring coils? When I reassembled the ri
