  1. After a bad start as the bank we were going to do all the holes were full with water. Moving to higher ground we found a few good holes. Rabbits were reluctant to bolt toady and we had a lot of hole hopping but the ferrets worked well and kept with them. finished the day 27 so not too bad.

  2. I seem to have a severe hang up with loopers.

I can hit well over half of long crossers - last outing 9 out of 10 so my judgement of the forward allowance is about right usually for distance and speed.

    The problem comes with loopers.

Last outing 1 out of 10 - normal for me I am shamed to admit.

I have a fair idea of the amount of lead in front and below according to the arc of travel but consistently miss.

I think I must be stopping the gun- what is the solution ?

    Any advice/guidance gratefully received.

A looper will need a fair amount of lead. normally about half again of what a standard clay would at the same distance. Try and shoot them on the rise and go up with it rather then trying to shoot it falling.

  3. I have for sale a Lightforce variable bliz comes with red filter the filer is slightly scratched but also come with an amber filer this filer is new and never been out the packet. You will have to fit your own connection to this lamp as i have cut it off to be fitted to one of my other lamps. this lamp is in good working order with no problems.

  6. OK thanks for that. as i understand he has to be separated once hes done the business as he will become aggressive is this true. Sorry for all the questions just i want to let myself no what I'm letting myself in for

I found keeping lots of entire jills that leaving the hob in with them all year not only kept them healthy , it also lessened the '' phantom'' pregnancys they had & certainly stopped the major quarrells with in the court

Kay do you mean a snipped hod or a non snipped hob, i am looking at prob getting 3 Jill's and a hob then have the op done on him would it be OK to leave them together?

i suppose would just have to moniter there behaviour. I'm start to build a big court so they will have plenty of room to move round

a vasectomised hob, you may be as well to get a proven one from somewhere, as getting any hob now will mean at least a 6 week ban on him going anywhere near the jills untill he is totally infertile after his operation, meaning you will have 3 jills needing bringing out of season by another method,

Personally i would go for a hob first get him vasectomised then add 3 jills once the dodgy periods passed , if you can get hold of adult jills that is, it all depends when your ready to get the ferrets anyway

if you opt for a rescue they will most likely already be neutered

thanks for that i will have one court and a large hutch. In case any situations arise where they need to be separated not looking to get them till April/may just trying to get as much information as possible thanks for your help
