Real nice mate spit of mine as a pup. Its funny that everyone who sees a merle pup thinks its a hancock i get it all the time with mine. U prob will tell us it is a hancock now tho lol;-)

think hes talking about the blue dye on its ear good luck with the pup was your other dog injured to retire at 7 ?

  3. John Knibbs is great to deal with I got all my parts for my mk5 restoration from there

Fast delivery some of my parts were more expensive second hand on ebay so glad

I bought new ftom john Knibbs

Cheers guys £50 later and parts on their way have found the mk5 restoration page and been following it pretty much step by step since discovering that it's a mk5 I've got not a 6, spent all day sanding the various bits of metal work down now All on the bench with primer drying

  4. I recently picked up an old mk 6 meteor which was in need of repair the idea being to fix it up for my lad who's now 14 and in need of something to get him off his playstation, and what better way to start than the same way I did. It's in need of a new seals, spring and the spring backstop thingy ( it's like a cylinder with a flat disc welded on the end ) does anyone know where I can get these parts from ?

  5. Hi mate we were in a similar position to you a number of years ago, a friend of mine had a beddy/greyhound half cross that was superb on all quarry he truly gave 100% the problem was he only stood 22 tts so was a little light and lacked a touch of pace to be a true all rounder so when it came time to put some new blood in the kennels we put him over my Irish bred coursing greyhound from rander kennels she ran in the 2002 Waterloo cup, she was superb in her own right and a breed apart from the track greyhounds, she would happily take rabbit, hare and fox singlehanded day and night. Obviously the resulting pups were 3/4 grey 1/4 beddy both my mate and I kept a pup off the litter opting for ones that had thrown to the beddy rather than the racier ones they are both around the 25 / 26 tts mark and were both fully single handed dogs on anything. I have absolutely no regrets over the pairing if you use a proper coursing greyhound it will put all the size strength and speed into the mix you need the bedlington in the mix will do the rest no need for any bull. And as for feet with a proper coursing greyhound it's not an issue mine did brake a couple of toes over the years but she did run some rough ground the 3/4 grey 1/4 beddy pup I kept off her has never had any problems with his feet. The only other thing I would consider putting over a half cross beddy/grey would be a 3/4 grey 1/4 collie I personally don't see any advantage to any other cross going over it for an all rounder. 1/4 beddy is enough for it to do anything you need.
