So my pups just over 6 months been doing really well so far and was retrieving to hand... But last few days started running by me with dummy and then laying down with the dummy, but today just took him out and did a few throws for him and he ran out to the dummy and just lied down next to it a chewed it when I called him he ignored me a bit then came with out the dummy. Never had this with a dog before so don't know what to do, tried a few short retrieves like 3 meters and still the same??

Just a few pics of my new pup and how he's coming on, had him 7 weeks an really pleased with him so far. The father was a bull/grey lamping dog and the mother was a whippet x English springer used for ferreting and the odd bit of lamping.

I'm looking for a gamekeeper who will teach me all he knows in the job in return for unpaid work, would like it to be local to me I live on herts/bucks border, I'm 17 turning 18 hard working, run a small domestic fowl hatchery so know all about hatching and rearing birds.
