  6. you certainly can't,just finished making up 100 wires,50 purse nets and 4 25yd longnets (to use as stop nets when ferreting,as the ground is quite scrubby),picked up a hob,now need to find 4 jills to work this winter,then breed from.all the best
  7. when i have used the idstone i have position fenn mk4 traps (doing the usuall,covering trap with tissue and fine layer of fine soil)between pipe and post.first you catch young rats,then the older scabie does,always used to pour hot fat down pipes to encourage entry,bacon fat on post .all the best
  8. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u18/woo...07/100_0402.jpghttp://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u18/woo...07/100_0401.jpg here is how i do it out of 16 gauge stainless steel steel fixing wire. cut off 1 metre of wire fold in half hold ends in vice insert cuphook held in electric drill (rechargeable best) in formed loop,and twist up. bend around template. twist free ends around the main body. i make these 101/2 inches long i find these work really well all the best .
  9. hello all.i am returning to the hunting fold after a ten year lay off,i found i missed it so much.i live in essex a carpenter by trade.i the past i have worked ferrets,terriers,lurchers,longnets,snares and traps,wildfowled and plenty of pidgeon shooting and fishing.my son has just started flying a goshawk,so the call of frosty mornings has returned,i have looked through the site and found it very good,hope i can contribute and glean some worth while info.all the best woodman
