there was as it goes marra but it wasnt you iv read a few of your threads since i been on here and yours is the type of whippet id use as a outcross to me own dogs if i ever chose to do so, its obvious you care for that dog, an you are honest when talking about her, in an ideal world everybody would be honest, or we would never need outcross, but its not a perfect world an we do need to interact with other folks in dog world from time to time, wouldnt it be far better if we could trust these folk an not line the pockets of dreamers bullshitters or the kennel blind when we need a pup or a lineing
  2. im not in any way running down beddyxs minshaws or coursing dogs, that would surely make me kennek blind or blinkered. i was just saying how have seen the forun from where i sit, i know all dogs are diffrent an there is good aan bad in all types, only sleepless nights iv ever had where over my own dogs an thats the way it will stay, what others do wil never keep me awake. how many admit to being kept awake at night due to your mutts performance naggling away at you? i know i have

  3.

so that a few folks with coursing dogs in there profle pic that seems to think im an arsehole or an anti, i was actually waitin for the anti tag to come out to play, iv lost count the amount of times iv seen it said on here in y short time here. for the record, im not an anti or a youngster that knows it all, im not even young an ill never know as much as some folks, so what is it that yous hare runners dont like? is it that i said yous always seeem to be sellin sapling untried dogs lol spit it out lads i for one minute diont think ya a anti jim i feel that ya bored and need take a few hrs out with an old dinosaur such as me pm me ill give ya amy post code lamps charged now , the ovaltine can wait i hope ya dont mind but there will be a seven yr old a ten yr lod and a 12 yr old tagging along . ysa see youth is the jewell of life , and they have there own stock. jim i feel you are dissolusioned over something havew ya had a deal with a bad wish. atb bunnys.

  4. i think the younger generation needs to play a bigger part in premoting the sport but also the older guys are the ones with many seasons under there belt and are a wealth of knowledge it might not 100% but everyone has there own way of doing things so as long as its all right for them i suppose

a little knowledge is very dangerous in the wrong hands, you are spot on, too many lads been in the game 10 mins an jump from apprentice to master dogman with no time in between

  5. bunnys seems to be 1 that talks sense lara, nowhere have i said all older folk talk shit, they dont, but with age comes no guarentee of wisdom. the old man across road from me is in his 60s been driving a long long time and has had over 20 accidents over the years, even with all his practise, practice only makes perfect to some folks we aint all equally talented a drivin oir dogs, or anythn else, some younger lads just seem to click a some things an i think qanybody who says any diffrent is definatley blinkered to say the least

  7. scothunter i dont care if you work your dogs 1 or 7 days a week, as long as you happy an above all else honest about them, far too many kids youngsters an newbys are gettin there heads filled with shit off guys that are dreamers, what a man does with his own dog is forhis concience to live with, but why lie or big up dogs?? if a dog is shit its shit, an yoiu are atleast honest for sayin so

    >>What do you run yourself jimbobmutts?

i run lurchers northernlite, bred off lurchers that knew there job an gave there all, bred for work an not a 2nd thought put into there looks or anything else, i doubt i even know what is in them, other than otherlurchers that were good eniough to breed off

And in this day an age, dogs like that are getting rarer (boy do I know it...!). We live in a THL world of fractions an names....

    Keep posting Jimbob...

i get it everyday, meet some folks out with the muts an folks always ask, whats in your dogs, or how are they bred fella, i dont think iv ever been asked how do they work or what do the work tho too many folk too busy concentrating on the ingrediants rather the job expectedof the dog

  9. bunnys are you old? i am in no way trying to bring you down, its just me a very good mucker was having a chat at 4 this morn, an it was about older dogmen, he is under the impression that most elder guys dont know there arse from there elbow, an most are stuck in the past, an more an more of the younger generations are leavin them behind. i do agree in some respects, age aint a guarentee for wisdom, an some older folks can do same thing for40 years plus an never get any better, then there are guys who learn something everytime they are out. you come across as an older guy that knows dogs an stock in general... but are you a dying type of man? will we be left with guys that THINK they know best an refuse to listen to and learn from the younger more natural dogmen, i know of a guy who has a lad at 7 years of age i think he is, an this lad knows more of the lurcher basics than most adults

  10. so who is gonna give me the lowdown on them mimshaw types, are they all collified now? or are there still some of the older type still about? without causing an argument, is there more collie than minshaw blood in most of these dogs now? id really like to try an older type, but i couldnt imagine running a lurcher that is mostly collie, minshaw name tag or not

  11. where am i asking anybody to prove anything? quite the opposite infact,i never seem to see anybvody on here sayin how there dogs have failed or even aint that good, unless you count the' coursin saplings in the for sale sect. seems the daywalkers are the worst for sellin on there crap or maybe most the guys on here have very low standards, or just aint out enough to see exactly what they got. can i ask who it is that you are tryin to fool? is it the rest of the forum or is it yourselfs yous are tryin to convince you got a good 1? keep sayin you got a good 1 an you will end up beleiving it jimbob

  12. i got a sneaking suspicion that most the dog owners on this site are at best kennel blind part timers, i aint got a problem with that, if thats how you roll, but why sit behind a keyboard an chirp about how good your dogs are, an old fella once told me, its the dogs youll never hear of that will be the best. he who shouts loudest has least amount worth listening to, or what is they say about self appraisal? and yes i have an opinion, whats wrong with that?

  13. since joining this forum i have to say i have read a few decent posts which gave out some sound advice, however im afraid the number of bullshit posts or posts written by kennel blind frauds far out number the few sensible posts.. between the lurcher pages alone i have seen so many folks think they have the only cross capable of working. without mentioning any names, i have seen posts by whippet owners thats are nowt but fancifull rubbish. i have seen the so called hare coursers talk down to anbody thats dont own a day dog, an then there are these minshaws? what is a minshaww? i have looked back at some old threads an pics an they seem to be a whole world away from the collie xs that are being labelled minshaws now. who actually owns the closest dogs to this type? or have they all died out now due to the mighty beddy\whipet. the beddy\whippet lol they must be owned by some a th most kennel blnd folk i have yet to meet. where are all the working beddys used to createe this type?? so have i just stumbled upon the biggest pile of shit written on the net, or have i come across a load of kennel blind foolish bullshitters? if this is a proper cross section of the dogmen out there these days then i do worry about the future of our lurchers jimbob

  14. But if your claiming wheatenxs are too heavy to be versatile, I think it was the lad said, then a halfx is not what yiu want. Don't you agree? I love halfs of all types aswell, without them we woukd have nowt. An if folks think halfs are useles then there lurcher must have come from a crap half somwhere down the line. But they don't suit all and do have wastage in every litter if you have bred for one type.

  15. No bites here marra, there is good types in all crosses. An I ain't as kennel blind as to say anything diffrent. I never mentioned you or your dogs. So its you that's biteing. Smiles or not. I'll bet ye there are bullxs and wheatenxs that'll go run for run allnite with your bedlingtonxs, you wanna see either run you can fetch your beddyx
