People use call bird to put in larsen traps(magpie traps) they use them because magpies are territorial so if you have a magpie from another place the magpies in your are will want to attack it.The magpies will come trying to get at the call bird in the trap(it is perfectly safe) and then will get caught

You must have caught quite a few in the larsen trap then well done

i use them all the time and i havent had any problems with them there more discreet than the duffus type so not as nickable although i have had a few nicked because the ground i do is open to the public

Nice work there young Tom...Welcome to THL Forum. Im a Cumbrian myself, its good to see a young fella like yourself showing such an interest in a seemingley difficult subject such as catching moles..It can be pritty frusrating at times and dam right hard work even for the older generation.

I always thing wouldnt it be funny if someone came to nick your trap and they caught there fingers in it,I bet they wouldnt be doing that again any time soon

You wont go wrong with the flatpack company mate,and to be honest there standard galv trap are cheap enough and are spot on. good luck keep it up,

Well done young 'un. Brilliant to see new blood getting into the mole trapping scene. You are right to ask for recommendations, but beware those who try to get you to buy things they sell.
Personally I recommend Flatpack tunnel traps. They might not be the cheapest but they will last you far longer than cheaper traps. And I have no connection with the company.

HI all just started mole trapping got five duffus mole traps and two talpax mole traps.Managed to get two moles last week and got home from school today and guess what 3 moles in the traps Also can any one tell me the best place to get duffus mole traps all suggestions welcome thanks
