Sorry for the long time replying, I've been ripping the house out! Thanks for the advice guys we've taken her out a lot since training with a squeaky toy inside a tanned rabbit fur! It was the squeaking noise that was putting her off, but after a lot of playtime on the local rugby field is paying off she's grabbed it so many times now she doesn't batter an eye lid, I've never had this problem with any of mine before but she smashing into it now. I've noticed a real change in her over the last month or two it seem silly to say, but it's like she's grown up mentally if it makes any sense to you! -
Hi all I'm new to the forum I'm 25 ive been hunting since I was 6 I love night work (lamping with bull greyhounds and lurchers. l also enjoy a hard days ferreting, I've currently got 2 bull greyhounds a pure greyhound bitch 27tts and I've recently bought my 4 year old boy a lurcher bitch from the dark destroyer lines because he's a very keen little boy and I think he's ready to go rabbiting I love the sport and the tradition and I want to pass it on to keep the sport alive and for future generations to be able to enjoy it aswell.

Welcome mate I'm new too, and I'm into lamping and also love a good days graft ferreting. I've got 2 bull x greyhounds and 1 pure greyhound bitch! -
My brothers collie greyhound bitch keeps going in for the kill but pulls up at last second and leaves it run on! She was coming on lovely as u would expect most young lurches she was coursing well but the the agile bunnies were getting the better of her on the turns, which in my experience is to be expected for an inexperienced dog.finally she caught one, " and a cracking take too" but as soon as the rabbit squeaked she immediately dropped it and let it run nudging her nose rather than biteing, is this something that can be remedied or is the bitch going to keep doing it. hi,im a newbie to thl im dan, i was wondering where platts kennels are as ive been interested in getting one of his deerhound x greyhounds. ive seen some of his dogs and was rather impressed by the stamina and also the jumping capabilities. i was wondering if anyone could give me some information on his whereabouts and if he is the top recommended breeder of this strain of lurchers.also can i apologise in advance if there is already a topic on this as im a newbie and still havent got my bearing on here yet!!!
