  2. hey guys just thought i would share this with you , i have just won a bsa tactical gun bag on country pursuits tvs giveaway......................chuffed is not the word!! and the zip had just broke on my old one ...winner
  3. me neither mate but for a springer very impressed very long barrel too
  4. a couple of days ago i went shooting on a large permission of mine with my brother and a friend. i and my friend were using our bsa ultras 177 and my brother my old gamo shadow springer 22 now at the begining of the shoot when we were checking our zero the shadow was kicking all over the place and my brother couldnt get 100mm group for love nor money so he called it a day. now being a nice brother i checked my loft and found an old diana firebird 177 our father gave me a few years ago now ive never fired it and only glanced at it a few times but thought lets scope it up and give it a try (get
  5. not bad groupings mate especially from a springer good job well done
  6. yes and the ultra can be modified to .25 or even a aa tx200 with great accuracy even up to 60 70 yards
  7. if you aim correctly you can dispatch foxes with a sub 12ft/lb air rifle (mine is currently 11.6) and i have done so myself a few times, but yes hunting foxes is more safer with a full power rifle.
  8. the xl lightning would have the power to stop a fox with a clean headshot behind the eye however the xl lightning is a spring rifle and getting a nice tight group at 30 to 40 yards may prove difficult my advice is spend the extra 100 quid and get the ultra !!!! just last night i hit a rabbit just behind the eye instant kill at 65 yards no recoil so there was less chance of missing or even worse injuring the poor thing i have had a couple of foxes with my ultra but it must be a headshot behind the eye pcp shooting is more popular because its more accurate and most importantly more humane ...god
  9. hi mate i have the ultra in 177 fantastic gun very light i also have the single shot version the micro movement cocking is weird at first but it becomes second nature i purely ise this gun for hunting and its amazing using my rangefinder for accurate pellet placing i can easily kill rabbits and pigeons out to 60 yards (and sometimes more ) very good gun at £300 quid new in tactical its a bargain
