I think as long as it's waterproof and fairly knock resistant that should be enough from the case.

If your done then fair enough but you could still continue posting on here I'm sure you have thousands of stories and photos to share, I have also always enjoyed your posts.

Spires vets in chesterfield for general stuff, can't book so can be a wait, but I've never felt overcharged and are senesible never been pushed into anything intact probablay the opposite. And not used yet but Paul Evans come highly recommended as a greyhound vet from many people.

I have just got the same ones but not insulated. I got them after my cousin did a season pheasant beating, lamping and general mouching and they are surprisingly waterproof and have good thorn protection . I wore them lamping a few days ago it was still and they were a little noisey but a good wind and some rain and I don't think they'd be bad at all.

tank - where did you get these? Same breeder/two different breeders? A friend of mine's been looking for this exact cross for a while now without success. If you could let me have a contact for breeder I'll pass it on. PM if you like.
Agree i run a beddy grey x whippet grey and have been looking for a 3/4 grey 1/4 beddy for a while now. These are pretty close.

Just met a lurcher in the park today who looked the spit of Fuji's pup, first thing i asked was how was it bred and it was golden retriever over show whippet. Its build and confirmation were awesome lol.

I have a beddy greyX whippet grey and always thought 3/4 grey 1/4 beddy would be ideal for me and the areas i hunt, just a little more size and strength would be ideal and hopefully not lose that top end speed.

Well the dad definitely isn't a spaniel. It may have some spaniel in it but definitely other breeds in there and is the the mother pure saluki? Not a breed im 100% with but looks more like a saluki X to me.
Please accept my apologise if im corrected.

Id had spaniels until my running dog who is now 8.
I could not get him to retrieve at all. I recently found an old email to the breeder asking for help and mention that he will chase anything i throw for him and he would try and steal stuff off the spaniels but not himself.
I do feel looking back i was more interested in getting him to chase stuff (thought it wouldnt come naturally lol).
He has done the occasional retrieve of pheasants over the years and this season at 8.5 yrs old brought his last 2 hares back from out of sight, as soon as he saw me he stopped, so its definetly in there just think hes a lazy ignorant sod lol.
I have also had spaniels that I couldnt get to retrieve but i put that down to my training techniques at a young age and have since adapted my style to whichever dog im training. next lurcher will be the test for me. Oh he is a 1/4 whippet, 1/4 beddy 2/4 grey

Hi there, I'm 29 years old and my dads invited me with him for a days shooting (I'll be working the dogs) near Kelso on Tuesday 27th October but we'll be travelling up from Sheffield on the Monday evening after work and returning on the Wednesday. I was wondering if anybody had any lamping permission they'd be willing to take me out on. My dogs turned 8 now so is slowing down a bit, but I want to take full advantage of him in his last few seasons, also happy to carry and watch others dogs work, as I don't hunt work the lurcher with many other people. He's a very biddable dog retrieve is a bit crap but I've put up with that. All help or info welcome. Cheers guys. Any more information about me etc just ask. Regards Adam
