  1. Yea for the monarch I agree, but for the .22, I just have a Bushnell sportsman and that is more than adequate and cost about £60 I think. For me a .22 is a 50_70m rifle in usual field circumstances. Thats what im saying. 70m = 80yards ish. Just wanna be able to zoom and place the shot rather than not having enough mag to see my target clearly. I dont need super sas quality gear. Its a .22 ! Im not even fussed about weight.. I got a bipod and if im walking about im a strong lad so can hold a rifle steady for a 60yard shot off my knee. All I can take from this thus far is pricey scopes h
  2. Thats good money. Brand new is a bit out of my budget.
  3. Excellent advice chaps. Dogvixen01 very insightful. Like I said its not that I want some spetsnaz scope for no money. I just wanted to get something that would do the job for night and day and not break the bank. I dont need super hd. Just good enough that I can see Bugs and blast him in the kisser. Thanks for the clarification. I feel I can make a slightly more educated decision.
  4. I know the glass is better. But at the end of the day they are only as good as your eyes. Do you really need to spend that much for shooting around 80yards. Theoretically you see your quarry in dvd quality r.ather than blu ray
  5. there is a white tail classic on flea bay 6.5-20x50 with parallax adjustment (proper one supposedly)
  6. i did look at a wtc phillipines made. ao at the end of the scope would do my head in though... air rifle scopes and rimmi scopes...meh only a .22lr. not as if its gonna kick hard so not really worried there. just want a nice bit of glass with the option to mag up to 16 really. for my money i just want the clearest scope. i always found parallax adjustment handy whllst ive been out shooting so kinda want to stick to what i know in a way
  7. hmmm still got to figure which hawke though off the info you have given
  8. ive been looking around for a scope for my 452. i just know what to get. ive looked at lots of views...people saying fixed mag etc.. ive decided on variable zoom for buny bashing. i shoot day time and go lamping...so 50mm aswell. ive looked at a couple of scopes with a budget of £200 id be shooting up to yards ish so 4-16 mag or maybe 6-24 (could be overkill) Hawke nite eye sf 4-16 or 6-24 (1 inch) hawke eclipse 30 sf 4-16 or 6-24 (30 mm) nikko stirling night eater 4-16 or 6-24 (30 mm) any thoughts as im pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to put on it any help
  9. What he said... im not sure the roan engineering one is self indexing. I loved my s200 and wouldn't have been without the 10 shot conversion
  10. I thought so got a chap coming today. So fingers crossed

  13. Hmmm thats not a great help. mind you im pretty positive they wont allow an independent test. THE B******S F*****G C**T FLAPPING TW*****G K**B JOCKIES. had to get that off me chest a bit
  14. I already asked about returning it to the exporter. No chance. I've gotta feeling that an independant test would be out if the question. After all customs are a bunch of c**** and a law of their own.. I email airgun exporter and he said if they destroy it(dont think ill have a say) and I have prove of power output then a full refund will be given. If they allow me to put it on my fac when I get it then he will refund $100 for the trouble. He wanted an independent test. But customs wont go for that. They send them of to an independent forensic lab for testing anyways. Any other ideas?
  15. This will tickle you then. Sent from the usa on 9/10/12. Arrived at customs 11/10/12. Too and throwing cause they couldn't determine the power. I was confident it was sub 12ftlb. Sent to forensics for testing. And this is the upshot. Over a month of frustration
  16. Yeah mate. Thing is its a well known airgun exporter. So not expected things to go wrong
  17. Well im seeing what customs say first. If it doesn't go my way ill be asking for mt money or another rifle. If he declines ill just claim it through mastercard
  18. Hmmm. Got the results today and customs tell me 10the shots out of 24the went over 12ftlb. Not exactly what I thought was going to happen. They might be giving me the opportunity to hold the rifle until my section 1 gets cleared (up 10 weeks in my area). They exporter says they 100% confirm that there was no possible way of it being over. But,,,clearly not. So ill wait and see what customs say and them rinse the exporter if it gets destroyed
  19. maybe youve done such a good job none are left how full is your freezer? in all seriousness mine have dropped off alot in comparison to 1 - 2 months ago. used to get loads on an evening and with the lamp., can only get em at dawn now
  20. i have a leapers accushot 30mm 4-16x54 eztapp.. its a great scope for the money. if i could do it again id save the money for a sidewinder... BUT i cant fault it
  21. Yeah donning I read this. But in this case I think the guy was tuning up peoples pcps to over 12ftlb. I think he did some shadey stuff so they hauled him over the coals. My flo seemed to think it would be alright. So im just gonn.a stay positive
