  7. He could very well be I’m not quiet sure but I now he’s a cracking shot with his 308 useing a browning xbolt and ppu clover leaf it
  8. That’s brilliant shooting mate and you can see why my local rfd has mentioned this gun to me as he shoots one him self spanner in the works now lol still think it’s going to be the tikka t3.
  9. Hi Walshie what are you shooting gun wise please. I have not thought about reloading as of yet but mite give it a go some day so it will be factory ammo for time being
  10. I’m always open new opinions I currently use the sst in 243 in 95grn they are devastating rounds and very accurate but not always same in different calibres my mate will not shoot a tikka or hornaday as he hates them both lol
  11. Some like them some hate them I’ find them very comfortable as I smashed my thumb in a rugby accident and find it hard to get a good grip on standard stock. That’s what I tell my self lol
  12. Hi sorry should have said I like the beserk stock got them on both my tikkas and it will be used for deer and boar
  13. Hi lads just had my renewal back and been granted my slot for a 308. Has any one got any advise pros or cons on the above will deffo be in stainless and will be looking at 20” preferably. I’m leaning towards the tikka as I have the t3x in 243 and t1x in 17 HMR. Just local rfd can do a very good deal on the howa’s with beserka stock. Also best ammo for each rifle. much appreciated
  14. Lol very true Ben I’ve had it for 31 years now lol and with my misses off 14 years who’s a teacher who corrects me ever day and I still don’t learn or take notice lol
  15. Alrite I think we all know now that I have a slight problem with my spelling lol not the sharpest tool in the box lol. The quads are seeland from best fox call had them around 5 years now brilliant stick for stalking
  16. Hi lads first time out in the high seat today since the lock down. Got out my truck and made my way to high seat within 10 mins of getting there I could see few bushes moving and cock pheasant calling away and then noticed there was a litter of cubs playing to keep me entertained as I waited for a my first buck of the season. Wasn’t the biggest of beast but I was happy with my first beast of the season and finding another set so keep my occupied.
  17. Like my misses tells me you may ware the trousers but only the ones that she tells me to lol. If that keeps her happy and me able to go out shooting when I need to and spend on My shooting gear I will ware what ever she tells me to. You will not regret purchasing the reckon sticks my numbers have doubled since purchasing them makes life much easier in field tracking and super stable. I agree that thermal for spotting and a good night vision for shooting.
  18. Hi mate yes it’s the pulsar f155 good bit kit in my opinion don’t have to bother with the extra ir as the onboard one goes out to 200 yards with good detection and I use that then as a limit if I carnt make it out it too far shoot then.
  19. Hopefully get back up there Friday evening as I now where the earths are and account for the cubs. The fox in the bottom of the pic of 4 is a cub believe it or not I was quiet shocked the size for time of year. But they have had some good eating as they was all shot in a 2 acre field and when I had a look around that field I counted 57 rabbits there sitting out.
  20. I’m using 243 with 70 grain hornaday sst
  21. Thanks just had phone call from the tenant saying thank you and that she’s seen two more running down the lane from her house and can I have another go at them for her
  22. Had a call yesterday evening from farmer who had a tenant complaining her hens and ducks are getting taken by some foxes. He asked when I could get there to have a look so without a second thought I’m on my way. Got there around 7pm had chat to farmer and his tenant. To my amazement she’s done all my hard work and came out with a trail cam with videos and pictures of the foxes and where the earth was. So found a nice corner around 75 yards from the set and settled down wasn’t a hr passed and mr fox came trotting passed with half eaten rabbit quick whistle and down he went. 20 mins later nice small vixen with another rabbit in her mouth quick whistle and she’s in the bag. Settled back down and by 1130 I had accounted for 4 fox. Phoned the farmer up this morning to let him now and he’s more than happy. Good evening out with a good result
