  1. Bellman and flint box and collar

    View Advert

As title says. box, collar, charger and magnet. The setup has had plenty of use and this can be seen. The "point" is missing from between the numbers and I have shown this in the picture, this doesn't effect the box at all though and it is in good working order. Buyer to do a bank transfer and also pay for postage if necessary, once the money is in my account I will post first class.

  3. AA TX200 HC (Swap/Part ex)

    View Advert

Looking to swap or part ex my TX for an AA S400.

The TX200 is in excellent condition, it is about 7/8 months old and not even shot a tin of pellets yet.

I really like the gun but after shooting a mates S400 I have been converted and this is now the road I would like to go down.

Pictures can be sent through WhatsApp if necessary, but like I say, the gun is in excellent condition.

I DO NOT want to sell this gun, just swap/part ex only.

    Thanks for reading.

  4. Aye up BD.

Whilst rained off late this afternoon I did a tad of research on the old Original rifle, model 50.

It was actually a Diana rifle under the new name of Original as after the war years this German company were given licence to make air guns again , or something along those lines .

If you look on the left side, just above the trigger housing, you should see a few numbers like say, 10 67,- translated means manufactured October, 1967.

    She weighs approx.` 9 - 10 lbs.

Her average velocity using Eley Wasp pellets was around 480 ft/sec at best.

The differences in velocity over 10 shots was 43 ft/sec

Her muzzle energy is around 7 ft/lbs

Be warned :rtfm: ! She is a monster to strip and put back together correctly.

The piston seal is a leather.

I shot a .177 Original 50 in the very early 80`s to great effect and I cannot remember having such low power as is suggested ?

Watch for yourself BD on you tube. Original 50 air rifle.

They also suggest a price tag of around £160 - for a 50 in good order, personally I think that price is on the reserved side. I would have thought £220 "ish"

    Good luck with her :good:

    atb Mark.

Thanks for that insight Mark i really appreciate that information. I will have a look on youtube at the video.

I have had a look and i can't see a date on the gun, all i can see is "made in west germany"

  5.

There's too many scratches and dents Joe and I would just love to see her free from them because she jist looks scruffy.

A but of TLC and she will be reliving her youth

Hell of a lot of stippling on her mind BD (Chris)

it will be tricky to do just take your time with it and she will be right

as Viz my mate would say

    SLOWLY,,,SLOWLY,,CATCH THE MONKEY

Time is your best friend when refurbishing a rifle

    THERE IS NO QUICK WAY

Some one once ask,d me why i took so long doing the rifles and the best way i could answer him was

I treat every rifle as if it were mine i get a picture in my head and thats the way i need it to look

    NOTHING ELSE WILL DO

and the end result is worth the wait

just some of the ones iv put right Chris

    atvbjimmy

You can rest assured I will be taking my time with her mac, I'm in no rush and it's a project for myself so nobody is expecting the gun back.

It will take me a while to do it but I don't mind and I'm more than willing to put the graft in.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the rifles you have restored are brilliant and you clearly have a passion for it.

I'm glad your only up the road from me because if I get stuck I will be knocking at your door for help and tips

  6. There's a few pictures of the gun. sorry they arent all on one post but im not too good with putting pictures up on here.

I have been speaking with Bigmac and he has talked me through each step on how to restore this rifle so I am going to give it a good go and see if i can bring her back to life.

I dont expect to get anywhere near as good as mac does himself but i will try.

I will start on the restoration once i have all the relevant equipment to do so and i will keep everyone up to date on how i get on.

    Wish me luck

    ATB Chris
