    been out with my 2 ,8 month old borders this afternoon over my local wood. bit of shooting and the dogs abit of bushing and hunt about my bitch took of after a rabbit after about 15 min no sign of her [she never runs off and comes to my feet when ever i call her] anyway after about 30 min i herd her yelping i thort something must have hold of her a badger or something.when i got to her she was all caught up in barbwire and the barbs all caught up in her front leg what a mess i could not get it off blood all over when pulling it was just ripping her skin open anyway in the end i had to cutt

    ok mate thanks for the add vice.think she will be no problem on rats but ill take abit more time with him also noticed down the river not far from my house seen number of mink in last 2 or 3 weeks think they are living in all the washed up wood and crap of the floods. just wondering has anyone done mutch with mink. ? thanks.

    just like to say thanks for all your add vice.i think you could be right about the bitch she has learned alot faster than he has if he shows real interest in a hole she will push him out of the way to get in plus when she catchs a rabbit she will not let him next to it as for the rabbit thing were i live its teaming with them they both bush well together i enjoy roaming around with them.the bitch is evil she hunts like mad and would take on anything.[end up getting hurt] also when i shot a magpie last weekend he seen it drop and ripped to bits he has got it in him. going to take them ra

    hi just got back from been out with my 2 border terriers. the last 4 or 5 rabbits the dog has had hold of he keeps letting go yet the bitch will kill as soon as she gets hold of anything yet i have seen him kill no problem. whats his problem is he trying to get a better holed of his target? they are both still only 8 months old. or just a learning thing

    redrob you are very right i have to 8 month old borders and they are coming on well and both work cover very well together for there age both have good nose on them. started marking rabbit holes little bitch is wanting to be in. killing in bushes.also taking the odd phesent i never had a older dog for them 2 train off. as rob says take the dog were there is plent about he will soon learn.
