Hi Tom,how much of a selection of springers did they have there?
All the times I've been to Screwfix around the corner and I didn't know they stocked guns?
I'll Have to pop in and have a gander.
Not a massive selection mate tbh just the odd few rifles when they have them in, worth a visit now and again to see what they have, alot of BSA lightnings when i was there last.

Hi there gents, been sitting in the shadows quietly popping in the section now and again missing shooting a lot so been looking for a new rifle for myself for a while to wander the firlds with the dogs over the summer. Although cant justify spending the money needed for what i wanted at the moment i was still eager to get out again so popped into the local shop for a gander, picked up a nice looking nearly new .177 Gamo gx40 with silencer and bipod for £270 which i thought was a deal, 10 shot so ideal for what i want and felt really comfy in the shoulder so for that price i was happy at least it will get me out and about until funds allow for bigger and better in the future.
anyone had one of these and are they any good ? or did i waste my money?
going to pop a spare hawke 3-9-40 ao scope i have laying around on tonight and start t enjoy myself again.
cheers all

I've never tried ott, I've got a wasp enzo, lovely frame but I just can't hit a thing with it, pouch is too small for my sausage fingers lol. Am going to change bands and pouch and see if that makes any difference. What ammo you hunt with ? 9.5 ?
same mate some things i cant hit a thing with but settled now with the hegarty at the beginning of the post with GZK bands and i suites me perfect, i always used 9.5mm steel but recently went to 10 mm lead and i must say i love it feels a lot better in the pouch for me and i like how it hits

After reading this,I'm thinking of buying this of eBay.. Only thing I'm wondering is I think I'd be better off with ott ,what this one is...should catapults be shot on their sides rather than upright?
Catapult/Slingshot H24-OTT,15mm Black HDPE,Hunting ,SNIPERSLING HEGARTY SLINGS
WWW.EBAY.CO.UK
NOW WITH SNIPERSLING BANDS. Snipersling Bands are Probably The Best Latex on the...Ive tried a fair few cattys now and to be honest i just cannot shoot ttf very well i end up smacking my hand every time left me with some real nice bruising and welts so i tend to stay away from them but even with ott i shoot it sideways as you would ttf weird i know but just find i am so much more comfortable and accurate that way

The way things are now,not a good idea to parade around these shows with any dogs showing signs of work imo...most just cater for the rossete chasers with a van full of dogs and one for every class
Went to sennybridge a few weeks back for something to do with the mrs, saw a particular ginger gentleman with a truck full of terriers and young boys with him, he spent best part of 2 hours trimming the multiple dogs beards and tails, and abusing everyone that walked past him and his dogs, the way he spoke to one women whilst waiting for a cuppa was f***ing disgusting. seemed like a absolute tool if you ask me honestly his manner made my blood boil, never will i partake in such shite and not to eager to even attend any, spoke to a few decent lads but majority were up tight know it all fuckwits
