Good post , and I also strongly believe that the best Dogmen & women tend to be the ones that readily admit to not knowing it all. You might not be able to teach an old Dog new tricks, but a good Dogman is always open to learn more. a good dog man is never realy happy with what hes got hes allways looking to improve nothings black and white theres different ways to get the same goal just because some one as been doing things for years it dont allways mean there good at it the people who do all slagging off on this site for lads trying differant things will never have good dogs beca -

so you think its wrong to say the way you train your pup if you dont like it dont try it just give the lad a chance what i dont like is bullshit if iv got something black whins got something blacker if he,s an old man i under stand if hes not maybe the bowl he lives in is not so big as he thinks it is i thought the lad who took the 9 week pup out was a right idiot, yesterday me and the misses went for our usual walk over the mountains we took the old dog with us and i thought fcuk it il take my 10 week old put just to see for my self to start with the pup walked behind after a mile or so he wa -

a malamute is a big heavy dog i would of thought the first cross would be much to slow and awkward to be any good have you been out with the dog in the picture im curious a bout the malamute cross so i got in touch with ONESHOT he told me he knows the lads very well who run them i asked him a few questions of there ability he woudnt say a lot so im starting to think there not so capable as what you say he told me you have never been out with the half crosses he said you go out with trigger2 and his dog as only a quarter malamute so if he is any good how do you know it comes from the -

Whin, you sound even more crabbit than normal, who's pissed in your porridge? Werent you talking about putting together a book last year? And what happened about that ultimate fieldtrial for lurchers? Books are books, reading material thats all, and if your into dogs, then why not read about dogs? I've read a few darcy books and found them a decent read, nice pictures. I personally dont think there are enough fieldsports authors, considering that guys like YOU (whin), Halty, and thousands of others, have spent ther lifetimes in the game. . DnN Would anyone be able to read a book whin wr

i think most of what you say is right what gets me is that hes trying to do the same as a so called respected lad off this site hes probably a young lad after a few nice comments if you know hes wrong tell him in a nice way if he dont listen he will be much wiser the next time he gets a pup as for the malamute x i think there wrong but who knows thats how we learn ps what gets me more than anything is trigger2 knew what was going on and he just sat back let the lad get a good kicking he started al this to me that makes him an high graded cowered -

been looking through some the old theads i noticed you stuck up for trigger2 over the same thing you both got malamute xs so i take it you know each other so if i was you i would lick afew asses for afew months then come back on and tell them all about your pup and i would say youl be treated totely differant trigger2 knows whats going on -

i think oneshot is an idiot takeing a dog out so young there can only be one end trigger does the same and he gets a pat on the back its not what you know its who you know -
so you can look at a lurcher and say if its any good
-
whin most dogs are bred for lamping so you can get one dog to do most things you can for get hare coarseing as i dont think any one does it these days we all know greyhounds and whippets cant take to many hard knocks. i dont know the answer but im just wondering if they would be better with less running dog in them does it matter what they look like as long as they do the job
-
yes they are i think you know what im saying
-
most lads say the best way to get a good dog is lurcher to lurcher the best dog iv seen as less than half running dog in its make up yet he as plenty of speed when he needs it also when iv been shown pictures of legands from years ago they looked very much like mongrels
-
should give the malamute cros alot more speed good luck
-
i would love a night out not to night as i have got the kids tomorrow not the sort to go behind your back looking forward to going

second grade dogs or first grade wankers???
underdog1985 replied to stewie's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
thats my philosophy, IF YOU DONT ENJOY IT, WHY DO IT,on the other hand is it a CRIME to try and make money at something you enjoy doing,in our cases the answer is probably yes
