  1. hi all i seem to have lost my dutch pattern for my size 9 hood block not sure what 'make' the block is but i believe the size 9 rollins pattern fits could anybody help me or direct me to a website where i could download one or possibly pm me a pattern? any help would be much appreciated. atb

  3. ye not a bad price either for the amount u get in a can think ill be using leather for now but will probably move on soon. leather always seems to look better to me but suppose its practicality that matters most! cheers

  5. a week and you know how to keep a kestrel? i agree with what every1 else has said get a harris or a redtail and theyll both do you well theres plenty of experienced falconers on here that have been into falconry for years that still fly redtails and harris hawks. atb

  7. just ordering some leather from leprevo and found some 0.6mm 'lizard' leather and was wondering if it would be suitable for lamination for eye panels and piping but the only kip i can find is 0.8mm so a lamination would be too thick :S any suggestions? atb

  10. id say harris both birds will take game and the red tail is probably physically the strongest bird and if you want to take bigger quarry such as hare and even fox with a big female id say redtail. but seems as thought it sounds like birds and rabbits are your quarry id say a harris. bit quicker off the mark and i believe a bit more talented and seem to be easier to get into peak condition but if you have time to work a red tail and get it fit theres no reason they cant take rabbit and the occasional game bird but the harris will probably find pheasants and the like slighty easier due to their

    thatd be good thnks wos just wondering how u get [bANNED TEXT] piping so neat? i can never seem to get it neat. tried glewing and cross stitching and no success to speak of would u mind telling me the method u use and do u have any tips for this? also cud u tell me how u finish youre hoods to a gloss like you do? look well smart cheers atb

  23. cheers for the advice mate got some marbles today and tried em seem ok form my experience so far but wos just plinkin at 10-15 yards to try get used to em will give em a proper go at the weekend cheers
  24. o and heard marbles 'float' and are innacurate compared to steel or lead have u found this gafer? couldnt see it myself as theyre round and fairly heavy
