Thanks for the replies folks We have made some progress .The first mistake I WAS MAKING WAS TRYING TO HUMOR THE OLDER DOGS I THINK I WAS BEING SUBMISIVE TO THEM ,i changed this letting them go out the back IF THEY WANTED TO HUFF OUT THERE I won't let them until they winned to get in the same when going ffor a walk never called them if they cme to my feet to get their eads on then they could come

.I sat beside the cage with the pup in it and ingorned everyone including the pup after a while one of the whippets broke rank ond came over followed by lurcher The nexk day I played a bit with the pupThe lurcher could not stick it and joined in and played with me and eventully start to play with the puppy So we only have oldest whippet to bring round hopeffy by the time the jabs are over we all be good THANKS FOR THE ENCORMENT LADS

After the loss of my spaniel had to be PTS due kidney failure . i thought I would try a wee terrier for bushing So I bought one brought the 6 week old pup on the 24/12/2014 and introduced it to my Irish terrier/ Whippet/ greyhound cross and two whippets all three bitches have snubed the pup big style with a bit of showing the theeth and huffing in their cages they are all in the house in the evening out all day in the back yard

do I try to ignore this behaveour ?

Do I try to bribe the 3 adult dogs ?

Do i come down heavy with the snarling and theeth showing? with having them in the house I can't tollerate this behaveour .

Do i simplly keep the big dog outside this lurcher seems tbe the pack leader since the old spaniel went .

The lurcher is coming three she played for a few minutes today then her mood turn back to nasty again

I close this regularly in the boot with strange dogs and not a word out her

I was pulled by dog warden more than once I now muzzle my dogs yet I have met a woman walking tree German shepherds she could not have controlled the dogs had they wanted to go at my dogs or any person for that matter This law is a disgrace and needs reviewed

3Penalties.N.I.

4Liability of owner for injury caused by greyhound.N.I.

(1)The owner of any greyhound shall be liable in damages for any injury caused by such greyhound by reason of the contravention of any of the provisions of section one or section two of this Act, and it shall not be necessary for the person seeking such damages to prove thatF6... the owner knew of such previous propensity, or that the injury was attributable to neglect on the part of the owner.

(2)The provisions of the preceding sub-section shall not prejudice or affect any other right to recover damages for any injury caused by any greyhound.

5Savings.N.I.

(1)The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the provisions of any enactment relating to dogs.

(2)Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions of the preceding sub-section, nothing in this Act shall prevent the pursuing and killing of hares by coursing with greyhounds outside the boundaries of any county borough, borough or urban district.

6Interpretation.N.I.

(1)In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the meanings hereby assigned to them:—

• “contravention” includes, in relation to any provision, a failure to comply with that provision;

• “enactment” includes any provision contained in or having effect under any Act of the Parliament of Northern Ireland or of the Parliament of the United Kingdom or of the Irish Parliament;

• “greyhound” includes any greyhound or whippet and any breed, strain, or cross thereof;

• “muzzled”, in relation to any greyhound, means wearing any device so constructed and affixed as to prevent that greyhound from biting or otherwise injuring any human being or other animal;

• “under control” in relation to any greyhound means led by a chain, cord or other efficient leash held by a person exercising proper control over such greyhound.

Thank you for the replies The vet phone the vet that loos after ferret hamsters etc is on leave The One I so say you are not far of the mark all you have said sound similar to my ferret .Coney man can see where you are coming from as it was my first thought that the protein was too high I had cut her back on the chicken and was mixing ferret meal .Guess it is one of them cases just wait and see she does not seem to be suffering in any way and is bright A bit hard to waken sometimes but to be expected at her time of life Thanks again lads

I have a jill around 8 year old she has not taken a season this year But is going bald It started around the belly and is spreading all over Checked her fot fleas and ticks and the skin is not red or raw from scratching The other 7 ferrets seem to to be all fine two of which were in with her I am hoping it is a hormone think like when the hobs tail goes baldy like a rats rail I am taking her to thwe vet on Friday in the mean time any one ever had this Sammy

On behalf of the folks from forest lodge respite centre we would like to thank Albert Irene The members of the the NILRC for the hospitilyand welcome they received on Sunday at Shanes The carers looking after the children were astounded at the number of folks that took time to say hello to the childern .The carers have already ask what date is Shanes on next year so they can looking forward it and trying to fix the shift rota.

The showing went well guilding from class to class without a hitch well done to the NILRC and judges who pressed on even in the heavy showers A BIG well done to Dessie Mackin in taking the over all champion with a beautiful wee terrier Sorry I never got the name of the guy with the lurcher but well done a useful and obedient wee lurcher would love to see this wee lurcher work, And my own wee bitch Lady done us proud yet again lifting the All Ireland whippet champion title for the 3rd time . Under the wachful eye of Graham (Vermin catcher) Who's dog won the working whippet class Graham kept us all fed on burgers and hot dogs, He was still sitting at the barb a que when we left Prehaps Albert might need to check that he has left the field he seemed to have enough grub to do him for a fortnight .
