In my eyes,lurchers are fast,elegant and loving creatures.They make amazing pets despite the fact they can run over 40 mph!They dont require you to spend days house training then as the other thing they love apart from the running is being cuddled up on the sofa!

Lurchers are crossbred sighthounds,so they can come in all different shapes and sizes,from the small,fragile whippet crosses to huge hairy deerhound crosses,but they all have something in common...pointy noses and long legs!(:

I own three lurchers,firstly a little whippet called Millie,i bought her off a breeder in August 2010.She is a red brindle and is kennel club registered.she is quite a characater and gets up to mischeive!Secondly i have a deerhound/greyhound called Bobby,he is around 4 years old,i bought him from a local gypsy fair,he was a very small pup and has grown into a big hairy mutt!Lastly i have Phlick,who is a whippet/collie/bull,i bought her from 'Barry' a couple years back,she is around 3 years old naw.I also have a little jack russel called Kipper,she suffers from a genetic disorder in her legs so finds it hard to walk.
