  1. Till it got weals disease, kidneys packed up pts . Gutted now only got old bitch left

old bitches name wouldn't be uma? Would it grunter123?
  2. After how many planned pairings of dogs, and litters produced, roughly does one consider it takes to create a line of there OWN?,i know some think they have a line after breeding two related dogs together, which isn't the case, and the majority are just following someone elses line

,i know its a' how long is a piece of string' question, but approximately,if the dogs are not bred off until tried and tested properly and the same with there offspring, it would take decades I would imagine.

it will take decades smasher.I've used dogs and bitches from only 3 professional terrier men over 15 years and the one bitch wasn't bread till she was 6yrs old and fully proven over 5 season's,I put a dog over her and kept a

Bitch, used the same dog over another good bitch and kept a dog so in years to come if all stays right I'll mate half brother to half sister.dogs just done a full season with the local hunt and all is good so far.many of the surplus pups have gone on to do well with the lads who had them so I hope I've got it right.I'm still not interested in calling it my line just want to see dogs produced that graft well.

  3. nothing worse than a promising dog go to ground, find his quarry, work it for ten minutes then come up for a shit, I've seen it happen & the lads were lucky for the dog to drop back in & get back on term's with it's quarry before it dig's away. Feed according to work schedule but not before work & if an early start then drop feeding back from night to afternoon before. Not saying its right but it works for me & + I like to let mine out for a quick run before work as sometimes they wont empty out in kennels but will in the yard so no problem when you get to an earth.

  4. beta mate pups do really well on it,if u got a nice pup to start with you want to give it a good start in life. Coats are great on it,stools are good & helps give em good bone structure & teeth. As above mate then go onto junior then I put mine on field & trial maintenance 18% with flesh. Any higher protein when there adults & you'll have it doing the wall of death around the kennel. + if protein is too much there skin will go pink & irritable.a.t.b wi your pup

  5. best of luck with them Liam & bitch looks well .i remember my old digging mate gave me his old bitch for retirement as I had more kennel space & just a Russell bitch & black dog, anyways the black dog got to old girl but I see it happen so I got the pups aborted as she was over 10 yrs & came for retirement .anyway mate it will save you looking for replacement dogs in a few years time.good hunting

  6. lol,my lads just asked if he can have our runty pup as a house dog & let her sleep at the bottom of his bed.well he's 10 yr old & just starting to take an interest in the dogs so I might just as well let him. I'm Shure he wouldn't want to take one of mine tho, although there wouldn't be any crisp crumbs left in his bed. A.t.b wi your search rat catcher. Good craick ratting wi a terrier

  7. the reason I asked about the jack Russell club is I'm surprised they haven't contacted me over the breeding behind my dog as you seemed pretty keen on having papers.like last time wi tilly you went behind hoes back to get the paperwork on bruiser & he came to your 1st show so like he said if u would have asked him he'd have let u have the breeding.he said yes to the Russell club becouse it was through me

  8. kennel separately mate its not worth the risk & its not always the terrier that comes worse off, when I sold tilly to raynardman he kennelled her with his pointer & tilly nearly choked it.he went into kennels & found her wi hardly any life in her & I found my mate a black nuttall wheeler dog from up Leeds & he had a keepers job down in Devon & was flat out with work so he let his mate use it on a shoot in Oxfordshire & the lad put it in with his lurcher & the terrier killed it.also seen chunks missing from terriers after kenneling wi lurchers .a.t.b
