Anyone any success training a collie X which has had no previous training to work. We have recently purchased 28 acre mixed pasture and woodland and are looking for a working dog to start out with to help control the local rabbit population. The local pound have contacted us to say htey have an 18 mth old bearded collie x this dog has been in a pound for 3 mths as a result of a neglect case (underweight near starvation). The dog is very good-natured and does not seem nervous from his experience. The guys running the pound feel that the dog is completely trainable and a bit of a blank canvas
