The mastiff brought quality of bone...in time the speed and agility has been put back.There is no lack of jaw power only someone who has not seen a good Alaunt would say that....But saying that my bullx bitch is allot faster than my alaunt thats why i have her...not for everyone but alot of fun and make there owner's happy. This is my alaunt he died a few months ago with a heart condition thought it was kennel cough took him to the vet and died the next day he was only 3 yrs old best dog ever very smart and loyal never got realy worked but if enough time with other dogs he would have been handy but would be better paired with a lurcher based dog if you want to catch alot and the back legs tend to faster than the front and his nose was ok but not amazing but a good dog and best companion ever i would rather have him in my house thana lurcher any day and would do what i said when i said it and could stop him doin
