-
cheers lads

Still no luck, tried all the shelters and nothing. No doubt she'll be up for sale somewhere by now...

sire was casper over a grey, and dam was a bitch out of a whip/grey to a bitch called magic. Easier just to say saluki/grey/whip

because they have been worked over a period of years and any faults genetic or mental would of been known by then, breeding of a worker your more likely to get a worker breeding of a pet your more likely to get a pet that could have undesirable traits. Seen a lot of nervy collies and a lot of hyperactive collies, i would think a collie with a steady level head would be best and these are usually working collies.

When is line breeding too close? i was led to believe that in breeding or "line breeding" means there is a higher risk of deformities in animals and humans... i know some breed father daughter or mother and son, is this not a bit "close" and you run the risk of having health defects i thought this was how KC dogs became so f**cked up?
-
How much line breeding is healthy, after all KC dogs got there genetic faults from to much in breeding line breeding whatever you want to call it so when will lurchers that have been "line bred" for generations start seeing these faults?

Nuttal type terrier bitch has went missing the day after some lads offered to buy her when they came to ask for permission but were told she wasn't up for sale and the next day she goes missing. She's a strong type of patterdale, good temperament and very quite not yappy like some terriers. pictures to follow. She is my uncles dog kept on the farm for ratting but i was going to use her this season for my first dig/digs together, gutted she is gone, just want her back. Went missing near DALSTON, CARLISLE, any info greatly appreciated.

here's a question, if a kc beddy was bushing rabbits and being a good bushing dog you could call it a working dog yes or no? whereas a digging beddy is definitely working but in the breeding of say a beddy whippet, the one bred with the kc beddy will be faster or more likely to be if you think about it they are racier but they are less likely to ahve the same prey drive. Would you sacrifice the speed of the kc dog to have a digging beddy as sire/dam or vice versa because we all know that a beddy whippet will never be the fastest cross.

cheers for the comments lads
and mine is around 20-21 i think hes about 1 n a half under his mother at 13 weeks and alot bigger than the other pups and he weighs alot! what do you think?
I think he's going to be big, the parents aren't big either it's fairly weird maybe it will level out quicker than the rest
-
some size difference what tts is your dog mate? they all look in good nick as well
-
yeh, frustrating as well because i've got the use of a nuttal bitch who's 18 month and needs entering as well as having a pup. I made it sound like the earths have been dug to already but what i meant is they dont get dug to, they only seem to be active in the winter though
-
where I am all of the foxes are still living above ground, non of the earths are active again. At what sort of time do you see a lot more foxes going to ground? I have yet to see an earth active all year round where i am and it is not dug to, yet. How many of you see an earth that is constantly active?
I'm new to the terrier side of hunting by the way

i've got the ucaller and i cant fault it, good beam 600m i think, lightforce are majorly overpriced, i can bet any money they won't cost more than a fiver more than the ucaller to make your paying for a brand name IMHO

terramicin spray is what farmers use for cuts on animals, very good!
