About Me
i am now 70 years young,i got my first lurcher when i was 12, and have had them ever since .i was also brought up with horses, and have felled and dragged timber for many years , all over Scotland, i was also a hard wood feller to trade, in the days of the hand saws and axe. i have bought and sold hundreds of lurchers,as it was bred in me as my father bought and sold collies but always kept a good lurcher.my father used to say a bad lurcher eats the same as a good one so why keep the bad ones, when i was young my father kept a lurcher to feed the family, that is the difference in this modern world.i have spent many happy days with lots of my traveling friends ,coursing hares before the ban.A person is lucky if they have 4 or 5 what i call champion lurchers, you can have a good few decent dogs but you're certain to have a lot of bad one's.I will finish up by saying that i am like an old dog still as keen but just not fit, jim lochrie
