what are the working whippet lines?? and what are the show lines??

what are the names of the non pedigree racing or working whippets?? are non ped whippet lines meant to be a lot faster??

am lookin at beddy whippet pup, the dog is a ridlington bedlington with pedigree with workin blood, and the bitch is a pedigree oakbark whippet, am wanting it for lamping and ferreting,

i have found some first cross bedlington whippet pups for sale on internet but have only ever seen the blue or blacks, do they usually throw other colours like these in the pics,

cheers for all the advice i would be interested in a pup of you maybe mate do the bed/whippets all have rough coats or can you get smooth think this might be the choice for me

thanks for the replies fellas, i live in leicestershire and that would be excellent if i could go out with a few different dogs to get me goin!! i was thinkin along the lines of a whippet x collie or something similar as only got a small house and things cheers

am lookin for some help as to what a good first lurcher would be, a small 1 though as too the big crosses, mainly for rabbits, but with the capability for other things!! done shooting and ferreting most of my young life only 23 but want to get into the dog side of it, any advice cheers
