make sure you learn about tides and the place were you kayak from, go out in a group at sea.
theres nothing more daunting when your a couple miles off shore and the sea changes .
you seem to paddle but get no were and in some times feels your going backwards,
always check in with local coast gaurd and let them know were your fishing
always have a vhf course and practice safety and being able to get back on the yak.
never panic as this is the cause of accidents or your life
join a club these will show you techniques and how to paddle correctly.
learn about what your safety and clothing wear is.
i saw a lad once with a drysuit on and he never de-compressed it .
ended up in the sea with is head under water and is legs up in air.
restrict clothing and wear wet suits only go out in summer and always wear a good flotation or life jacket
i dont want to scare you but theres alot out there just buy a kayak and think its ok to go out to paddle with out learning.
its a brill hobby and very addictive if you dont mind the film jaws
follow these and youll be allright fella

WOW that would be expensive ,this guy in us does hand stitched tooled leather and snake skin for peanuts then item number 321052171758The first one you have listed is the best leather,it's London Tan which matures down to a nice rich Chestnut colour in time, all 3 you've listed are all run through a sewing machine, machine thread will fray long before hand stitching but it's quick and convenient.
The second one and the third one are made out of what we call a spilt in the trade, cheap leathergoods dressed up as expensive are also made of splits.
It's basically the off cuts off the tannery or workshop floor recycled!
Second one has cheap fittings and rivets
Third one has chicago screws which have a tendency to come loose and drop out.
Second and third should be avoided, although cheaper than the first one they are false economy
Go for the first one if you intend to buy one of these off ebay
It's expensive because of the tooling on it, if it was hand stitched it would be twice that price.

cheers mate looked on link some nice stuff on thereGaffer makes a nice sling,I'd recommend him, I am up to my eyes in manufacturing for Saddlery retailers, wholesalers and police horse watch groups as well as designing a new type of bridle so I don't have a lot of time to do other work.
This is why I haven't been on for a while!
My work can be seen in link below (scroll down the home page) and no, I don't just make dog collars!

1st sighn of a bit of moisture theyll rot in your pocket ,look like 1s you get off carboot 10 bob each, anyway there nothing to do with crafts and diy so i dont know why its been put on ?thats made from thin leather the ones i make are from 3mm leather same thickness as my collars i make those will work but i don't think they will be as durable though
-
these will be throw away 1s and dont look up to much, guess you get what you pay for though ,handmade one will still be going strong in 20 yrs, thats my opinion on cheap stuff no offence but you get what you pay for,These are pretty good. I used drawstring pouchs before but these are less fiddly
-
