you can try but i dont think its the lead you could call the dog in the middle of the walk and it will come to you so i dont think its the lead i think its im going home now if you do the same playing field walk with a dog all the time that dog knows once it done a lap its home time two dogs i walk one stops near me the other goes to the boot of the car before i even get there cos he knows weve done our walk elma do you think the dog is lead shy dobby

am walking her with my other dogs witch one is her sister and they all listen but your right if i get hold of her a bit before the walk is over it works 95% of the time during your walk, call her to you ,put her on the lead then let her off a minute later ,do this a few times during the walk then she wont associate the lead with going home. nice reply jacob ive had this few years ago i was lucky it nipped in the bud but they know when they see the house/car its out walking time finished and they dont want to go in they still have too much energy and the way they do it is sly they w

hi thanks for all your replies and im looking forward to meeting you all on the morning the invitation is still open if anyone who wants to come this isnt a red jacket day its a lurcher and terrier mens day but saying that someone brought a beagle last year and it was doing all the noises going through the woods (funny) its in york if you want to come and have a good day out with laughs and storeys plus get to meet lads like us pm me all the best dobby :welcomeani:

what are the size of the parents for me and people have different opinions for rabbits id prefer a smaller type lurcher fast and nimble on the turn im a big field/stubble hunter in which you mainly see hare fox deer not realy many rabbits rabbits dont tend to go too far from there burrows and the fields i see them in are not big to what i hunt normaly and some times rough moor land if i was to get a rabbit dog i think id go for something bedlinton/whippet hard nimble and fast but thats my opion anyway hope this helps all the best dobby

i think the lads new to the game and his keeness is getting the better of him take note wise words have been spoken at least 12 months and like someone said should be training him comands youll learn like i did when i was younger all the best though dobby

youve been taking her out to much she needs a week or two off to get her keen i know its hard on you only other thing you could try is take another dog and keep her on the lead until shes bouncing all over after a couple times watching the other she should fly if not keep her off hope this helps if not tell me all the best dobby
