Cheers mate, I done as you said and the dogs doing well, over the moon with him ?
yes it always a pleasure to see a dog you put time and effort into breed produce the goods, but to be honest i was more pleased for wezza taking advise and bringing a young dog on right,as you all know its time and effort that make these young dogs turn into lions and he as took the dog the right way and would have no problem giving him another pup at any stage a credit to him

Was a brilliant day mate, top crack and great land..
I don't think I'll ever live the crap shooting down! the term "couldn't hit a barn door" comes to mind haha!! ??
Well happy with the young dog, I've held him back like you said now hopefully I can reap the rewards and have many years digging with him, all credit to your breeding you've got it nailed mate.. Roll on next season ??

Had a invite out with Taz this weekend and what a day it was.
We had the three terriers with us all from Taz's line, my dog, his brother from previous litter and their Dam.
We had a good dig to my young dog of 15 months, took us a while to get down to him due to being under a tree and the roots, never the less he worked his quarry well and we broke through after 2.5 hrs, the litte dog done his job well we were both happy with him, quarry humanly dispatched with the 12 bore.
The old girl bolted 2 nice charlies earlier In the day which were squeezed into tiny rabbit spots, an excellent mark from the bitch and we got the result both times by Mr Raynard bolting. You would of walked past this place and never in a million years know it's there but the old bitch knew, and off the couple she want into the cover and she was in.
Fantastic to see a dog using its nose like that as this tiny hole was in the middle of a large hedgerow overgrown with bramble and obviously invisible to the human eye.
It was a pleasure to see my young dogs brother work as well and again he didn't disappoint, giving us a strong mark on the last place off he went and another two in the bag to finish the day.
A great finish to the season with my young dog spent with the man who bred him and dogs from his line.
Cheers for the day out Taz your a gent, hopefully I'll be a better shot next time im down but let's not talk about that eh haha ?

My mate took one from him last year. She's a tiny little bitch. Keen as mustard don't think she will have any problems starting, she's hammering the rats and done a few other bits. She will only be around 11 inch if that and she's very slight in build.

Haha never say never mate! My mrs might have something to say mind ?

Looks just the Job that Rebel, safe, secure and strong ?

The sleeping boxes are made from concrete block mate, they are lined and insulated. They are risen approx 4 inches from the floor internally so they don't have to jump and slip.
The tiles I got were a mat finish floor tile and they don't seem to slip at all on it mate even when wet.

The resin finish is spot on and easy to clean, good drains are a must, WMI've just moved into a bigger house and the garden is perfect for my new set up. I started on Saturday and dug the square out where the kennel block is going. I'll be concreting the floor on Saturday and then building block runs with galvanised gates.
I never contemplated a tiled floor but now I'm thinking of it after seeing this post.
@dillydog what is this resin stuff like? I might also look into that as well
I'll second that I made sure the drains were properly plumbed in and had an aqequate fall so it runs away. Most important thing to get right imo

You won't go wrong with a tiled floor mate. It makes cleaning them so much easier. Didn't cost a lot to fit either, my mates a good tiler and it only took him a couple of hours. Got the tiles from Wickes for £5 a pack.

Nice set up, I would have a roof over them, stop the escapes like said, nice touch with the aco drains,I have similar metal runs with 2"mesh but outside,I currently have 2 separate blocks of 2 on either side of the garden, but next few months want to move them to block of 4 at bottom end of garden, might get the wife off my back-I live in hope lol.atb dc
My mrs was the same at our old house so made them out the way this time so she can't winge that her garden looks a mess!! Thinking of putting a log burner and a chair in then it will be a proper set up for me and the hounds haha

I was thinking about tiling the walls.. opted to paint it with exterior masonry paint, seems to be working ok, I can hose it all down and comes up good. I will give it another coat of paint once a year as well.

Cheers lads. He's kenneld outside mate. They get oily fish, raw eggs and cod liver oil in their diet once a week I think these help with the coat

Yes I 100% agree mate tiles are definitely a lot easier.Have to agree about the tiled floor, I've used tiles on mine, none of that piss smell in the concrete, set up looks fab, hope your lurcher isn't into escaping as it looks possible onto sleeping area and over ?
Only problem I encountered with unlined brick walls was tail damage which was forever occurring with the abrasive surface, soon eliminated with a lineing added, looks safe and secure set up easily done and transferable if needed?
Inside they are all kingspanned and the beds are off the floor so haven't had any tail damage yet.
Your right about that mate the lurcher can jump over, although rare he has done so. They have access to a large secure run area via a pop hole so if they fancy a mooch they generally just go out there.

The end kennel is for the lurchers mate so quite big.
The other two are for the terriers and aren't that big to be honest. I've insulated them and ply lined so not that big inside.
My brothers currently got a wooden set up and the looking at it you wouldn't think it was a year old. It's f****d by the weather and the pups chewing etc.. he's going to go with blocks and galvanised panels but would be intrested to see what every one else has, hopefully we build his this one time and it lasts him a good few years

My block I finished last year. After trying concrete and epoxy resin I open for a tiled floor and it's been the best decision I made. So easy to clean no more scrubbing concrete etc, a drop of Bleach in a bucket of water once a day and quick go with the squeegee and jobs a good one.
We are starting my brothers block in the summer and will be doing similar, would be good to see some of your set ups for inspiration, Atb wez
