About Me
Hello.. My name is Ray Delaney
I've lived in the north of England for a number of years, I've also lived in Ireland 30 + years and now living in the Texas USA.
I for I have always been a keen dog enthusiast, IKC life member, breeding, showing, hunting, racing etc... I have been around dogs and the showing of dogs from the age of 5, having family members being responsible and founders terrier breed clubs in Ireland, (Peter Delaney) The Irish Terrier and (William Delaney) who was the founder of the Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier club and also founder of the Dublin Red line of Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Myself a keen dog enthusiast having bred, shown and worked Wire Fox Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers along with being involved with whippet racing, lurchers, lamping etc... in the north of england.
Over the years I have enjoyed the many hunt terriers and hounds, Russells, Lakelands, Patterdales, Borders, Lurchers, Glen of Immald, including the german Jadgterriers and the Japanese Kishu, the silent Japanese hunting dog ... but have always been drawn toward the working Lakeland / Fell.... a great little dog.
I was also a keen Irish licensed Falconer/ Austringer for 20 + years, owning and flying (Spars) Sparrowhawks and Goshawk ... both nest and (wild caught) passage birds with excellent success and enjoyment all round. A favorite austringer book, A Hawk for the Bush by Jack Mavrogordato.
I just have to many intrests to mention but a few :-)
