    Thanks for the comments guys It is encoraging for a beginner, i'm just finding my way not only around a new hobby but a new camara as well. I bought it second hand and the guy hade made a lens filter for it (not available commercially i'm told ) which I recently lost, so i've no ski filter at the moment untill i find some way of making a fitting. Lindsay, you're absolutely right, it is the plain, I try to spend as much time up there as i can, its the ideal place to combine the 3 hobbies, its right on my doorstep, and the views of vast wide open spaces never ceases to take my breat

    I've had very little trouble with mine (touching wood) As a day car its an absolute treat to drive, a bit like driving your favourite arm chair lol Off road I’ve not managed to get it stuck yet and taken it through some places in 2 wheel drive where others have had to engage 4x4 mode. That said, because it is also my day car, I’ve not taken it into extreme places as I really can’t afford to break it but its done some pretty tough terrain without any problems.     Hi all I origionally posted this to my blog but as they don't seem to get read that much, I thought I'd share in here.     Well, I don’t wish to go against the general run of opinion here, most of what I’ve read sounds like damned good advice to me. However, here’s my story.... When I first started working in a gun shop, my boss would occasionally buy job lots at auction just to get one or two items he was really after, the left overs would be put on the rack and sold off for dirt cheap money. Part of my initial duties was to dust all the rifles in the racks so I did get to know these duffers quite well.     Newbee alert Just a quick hello, What a great site Wont go into waffle mode here, i've done a sort of 'about me' blog for anyone who's interested. just wanted to say hi to all you outdoor types, i hope to become active on the forums and get to know some new like minded people. cheers all Jo
