  1. This is nuts! I've owned both and shoot both regularly for the past 3 years. Obviously both are dangerous in the wrong hands and a safe backstop is a must with both BUT imo the Hmr is a lot safer round than the HMR! The ricochets with 22 are crazy and almost every shot! I feel way more comfortable shooting the HMR than the 22. Sounds like your FEO hasn't a clue what he is talking about!!!

  2. when i was granted mine, my ticket said .22 then i came accross this .20. i rang the flo and they said just buy it and send the paperwork in, might be worth a phone call mate

Thanks Paulus, I was wondering f it was worth giving them a call, if it was that easy then I would buy it asap, only thing is the last time I put in for a variation it was a 6 week wait!! Thanks man I'll call em asap

  3. Had 22 Air put on my ticket a few months back as there's some nice shooting I have where HMR and Rimmie are a little too much. Anyways I've been looking around for a while now for a nice Rapid, Rilpey, S410 or something half decent at a good price second had in my area and man it's like finding a needle in a hay stack! I thought there would be way more out there than I can find. There was a guy selling a nice looking Ripper but it was a .20!! Anyone know for anything decent/Clean and at a good price in the South Wales or just over the Border region? Thanks guys DAVE

  4. So Went out to a new Estate I have in South Wales. Pretty big around 300 acres. We have lamped it twice and each time seen Foxes on the land and managed to bag a big Dog fox on one occasion and always bagged a few bunnies. I decided to go out before dark and just have a mooch about with the HMR this time and look at what was about. I saw a few bunnies in a big ole field so decided to just lay there and see what showed up. I managed 4 rabbits and I was waiting for another I saw some movement 'In' a hedge which happened to be about 130 yards away. I could see sheep in that direction so just thought one had got lodged in the hedge. As I looked I saw a crazy site. There was a dead sheep in the hedge and a Vixen pulling on it and eating at will LOL. I knew it was a good distance for the HMR but went for a head shot and heard a thump. As I walked up this is what I found. The Gamekeeper will be well happy, DAVE

  5. Out last night had 8 with the HMR at least half were Milky Does. Just wanted to ask you guys whether you knock the rabbit shooting on the head this time of year and if so when you start back up? I don't like seeing them full of young, I could try and support it with the "Well Farmer wants them off here so it's pest control" yet that's not realistically true, then there's the other side where you think "Well if I'm not taking them and using them something or someone else will?" What's your thoughts on it? Thanks
