    I'm off into the Belize/Guatamalan jungle with work for a month very soon , just bought one of these as a spare for my belt kit , it looks pretty good , have to see how it holds up as the jungle usually wrecks everything . have you been before?? Its quality, i went a few years ago and loved it

    I have one of these laminates on mine. http://www.rifle-stocks.com/ They take a while to arrive and need a fair amount of work to finish them but it is worth the effort.

    one disadvantage I have seen mentioned was the speed of repeating, ie getting a good grip again for a quick second shot. what are your experiences there? second shot? what's a second shot? should always concentrate on the first shot, and strive to make it the only one. aye this is true, but no matter how good we try to be we all make errors and will invariably at some time in our sporting careers have to take a second shot either to shoot a wounded animal or because we missed speaking of single shots, they don't half look good, (see ruger no1 in .45-70 ) but I would still want

I dont think I have ever not been able to take a quick shot because I have a thumbhole stock but then again I never rush into a shot anyway.... well I try not too If the stock fits your hands then using it becomes second nature. For example my HMR has a thumbhole and is my most used rifle by far. I have had no dramas shooting from a vehicle, standing off sticks, prone etc. My other rifle is used for

    2 of my rifles have thumbholes - i much prefer the feel of them. No cons as far as im concerned (other than the cost if bought as after market items). If they suit you then go for it!!!
